Ian qualified in April 1996 after training with a major regional firm specialising in litigation. In late 1996 Ian moved to take up the role of commercial litigation solicitor with a specialist commercial litigation and debt recovery practice in Liverpool, acting for many blue-chip clients in the fields of factoring, finance, publishing, transport and professional services. This included a number of the top 100 UK companies.

Ian set up Greenhalghs solicitors in April 2000 with a vision of improving the commercial debt recovery services offered to clients. He is a natural litigator who enjoys the game!
