Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1999. He began his career with a niche litigation practice in Derby before working for a law firm in Sydney, Australia.

On his return to the UK Richard worked in the dispute resolution team of a city centre Manchester practice before joining Greenhalghs in June 2004. He specialises in Commercial Litigation and has a broad range of experience in contentious matters.
